La Soirée

For independent schools like the LFC, fundraising and philanthropy is essential to ensure financial stability and success. La Soirée is the school's biggest fundraising event of the year, and one of the four main funding initiatives for the school, including the LFC Fund and "Oui" Fund the Future). Together with the LFC Fund, it raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the school's general operating budget to support teacher training, financial aid, student programs and specific initiatives. La Soirée also is the forum for "Oui" Fund the Future, the school's annual raise the paddle project. 

One hundred percent of net proceeds from the event contribute to the school budget for the following year.

The ticket price itself does not raise money for the school, but offers guests an unforgettable evening that includes dinner, an open bar, live music and dancing. Participation in sponsorship, underwriting, the live and silent auction and "Oui" Fund the Future are what raise critical funds needed to benefit all LFC students. 

"Oui" Fund the Future is an annual fundraising initiative that takes place at La Soirée to raise money for a specific project that meets an identified need at the Lycée. Recent projects include the Innovation Lab, outdoor space improvements, new turf field, and refurbished libraries and common areas. Gifts of all sizes are welcome from all members of the LFC community. Even if you do not attend La Soirée, you are invited to participate at the level of your family’s capacity. 

Each year, our parents rate La Soirée as one of their favorite LFC events, and for a good reason! In addition to being an essential fundraising initiative for the Lycée, La Soirée provides a fun evening out with your spouse, partner or friends to celebrate the school. You will enjoy meeting new people and building community while, together, you help build bright futures for LFC students. If you are a new family or don’t know who to sit with, we are happy to seat you with guests at your child’s level. You may also request to sit with other guests.  

Parent volunteers are essential to the success of all LFC events. Every year, La Soirée co-chairs and parent committee work hard to bring a beautiful and fun event to the community while maximizing the fundraising revenue for the LFC and all students.
