Arts and culture are a vital part of the LFC journey.
Through the arts, students hone their social and civic skills while strengthening their sense of initiative and independence.
Through its arts education, the LFC aims to impart to each student cultural and artistic learning and curiosity. Outside the classroom, students can continue to explore various artistic areas, including visual arts, music and musical theater, thanks to robust extracurricular activities offered through LFC*extra. Students also work with internationally renowned artists through our Artist-in-Residence program.
In addition to our music curriculum offered from pre-K to Grade 9, LFC students at all levels can also take part in extracurricular musical activities through LFC*extra.
LFC students from Grades 6 to 12 may take part in musical theater activities through LFC*extra. During the year, participating students organize and produce a show that is performed each spring.
LFC students at all levels can also take part in visual arts classes after school, in addition to the visual arts curriculum offered from pre-K to Grade 12, as part of the extracurricular programs offered by LFC*extra.
