The LFC Center for the Arts – Opening in Spring of 2025
The Lycée Français de Chicago is proud to announce its new LFC Center for the Arts, set to open in the Spring of 2025 at 4702 N. Ravenswood Avenue. This transformative educational facility will significantly enhance the school’s arts offerings for both students and the wider LFC community, while also serving as a versatile rental venue for private events.
Just a few blocks from our main campus, the center will broaden the range of arts programming available to all students in a space dedicated to artistic activities and performances. In addition to current classes in visual and performing arts, music and musical theater, we are exploring new offerings such as drama and podcasting, ceramics and sewing, graphic design and 3D printing, workshops with visiting artists and more.
“We are thrilled to expand our arts programs, as we believe they are an essential component of a student’s education,” said Eric Veteau, LFC President. “The arts nurture creativity, foster critical thinking, and encourage resilience, while also providing vital outlets for self-expression, emotion and connection.”
“In today’s world, which increasingly values innovation and global perspectives, enhancing our arts program alongside our international college preparatory curriculum equips our students with the skills they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully in a rapidly changing landscape.”
The establishment of the LFC Center for the Arts is made possible by the generosity of our donors, including a $100,000 challenge grant from the Edward E. Ford Foundation. We look forward to transforming the artistic landscape of our school and community!
