Justin Roberts Named 2024-2025 LFC Artist-in-Residence

Get ready to sing! We are pleased to announce that the 2024-2025 LFC Artist-in-Residence will be musician Justin Roberts. A Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and acoustic guitar player, Roberts will work with our students and music department to develop a school anthem and a jingle for the Flames. His residence will include a concert for our youngest students, creating songs and picture books with many of our students, and a masterclass for high schoolers on the music industry.

Created in 1997 by parents Nancy Lerner Frej and Mary Jane Jacob, with the support of former Lycée Arts Director Jean-Brice Wallon, the Artist-in-Residence Program exposes students to artists and their artistic approaches. Roberts will be LFC's 13th artist in residence, which was inaugurated by renowned French photographer Christian Boltanski and most recently welcomed a theater team that included Lookingglass Theatre Company ensemble members and LFC parents Phil Smith and Louise Lamson, Tom Lee, puppeteer artist from Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival, and LFC alum parent composer and musician Ernie Adams.
