Champions of the AEFE Volleyball Tournament in D.C.!

At the end of January, our high school Flames competed in the AEFE’s Volleyball Tournament for the North American zone for the third year in a row! Hosted by the Lycée Français Rochambeau in Washington D.C., students competed against nine schools from across the U.S. and Canada – including the Lycées Français de Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Montreal, New York, Seattle, Silicon Valley and Washington. A total of 20 boys and 26 girls teams were divided into Varsity (Grades 10-12) and Junior Varsity (Grade 9) categories, creating three-days of nonstop excitement, competition and tense atmospheres for each match. 

Once again, the Flames sparked multiple victories – bringing home two gold medals won by our boys and girls Varsity teams! Our Junior Varsity (JV) boys team finished third and the JV girls finished fourth. Additionally, the two MVP trophies were awarded to the LFC’s own volleyball stars, Noé P. (Grade 11) and Inès F. (Grade 9). Our students represented the Lycée fantastically at this incredible sporting event. Congratulations to all!
