Spelling Bee Champion!

On January 15, our six grade-level winners of the Scripps National Spelling Bee—held annually at LFC for students in Grades 3 through 8—participated in the all-school finals to determine our school champion. Adam B. (3rd grade), Elliot M. (4th grade), Maddy G. (5th grade), Alana G. (6th grade), Jasmine T.R. (6th grade), and Arin G. (7th grade) spelled words like "gallipot" and "chlorofluorocarbon" correctly to keep the bee going for 18 rounds. Arin G. secured a victory with the word "egotistical" and will go on to represent the LFC during the regional spelling bee in March. Congratulations to Arin and to all the other participants! You truly showcased the Joy of Learning, a value dear to our school.
