An Unforgettable Basketball Tournament

Four Flames teams participating in the AEFE Tournament

What do you get when you bring together 14 Lycées, 26 middle school teams and 300 participants? Three exciting days of basketball!

The LFC was proud to host this AEFE network tournament and welcome its fellow North American French schools to Chicago. The four Flames teams fought hard, with the girls varsity team making it to the semi-finals before being bested by the Awty International School of Houston, and the girls JV team making it to the quarterfinals. In the boys’ quarter-final, our varsity Flames and the Lycée Français de New York played a great match before LFNY ultimately prevailed. The four final teams (Awty, French-American School of New York and LFNY) had the privilege of playing at the United Center before a Chicago Bulls game.
