Invest in Kids

Tremendous impact.

Illinois’ Invest in Kids Tax Credit Scholarship Program is an incredibly impactful financial aid donation program—for both donors and recipients, thanks to a 75% state tax credit.

For fiscal year 2022-2023, we raised more than $325,000, providing scholarships for 23 LFC students. We already have our 23 current as well as potential new students approved and waiting for scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year. Imagine, a $4,000 initial donation costs the donor $1,000 out-of-pocket.

Invest in Kids, Merci!

We’re challenging all of our families to donate to the LFC Fund by the end of the day on Tuesday, March 19, with a fun prize for the grade with the highest family participation rate: a school-day party!

About Invest in Kids

A key component for creating a diverse and inclusive environment at the Lycée Français de Chicago is our financial aid program, which helps students from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances benefit from an LFC education, enriching the school experience for all.

The Invest in Kids Tax Credit Scholarship Program offers approved Illinois individual and business taxpayers' income tax credits in the amount of 75 percent of their total qualified contributions made to one or more Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) during a taxable year.

Give a child the gift of an LFC education this year. Donate through Empower Illinois, the SGO that manages Invest in Kids donations to the LFC, and you will receive a 75 percent state tax credit, significantly increasing the impact of your gift. The entire process takes just a few steps. Learn how to participate by following the step-by-step instructions below.
