Pre-elementary | Pre-K to K

A warm and caring start to a child’s school years.

In these three "Maternelle" years, our goal is to create a desire in children to come to school and learn, while also instilling confidence and helping them explore their personalities.

By demonstrating trust in every student’s abilities, the school leads the children to feel empowered in their own thinking and actions, as well as confident in their ability to learn and succeed – in school and in life.

The Start of the LFC Journey

Social Emotional Learning

Our approach to teaching and learning empowers students to become active global citizens, driven by the LFC's core values of respect, responsibility and the joy of learning. Our foundational focus on positive discipline and social emotional learning helps our students learn how to make any experience a learning opportunity and develop skills that will accompany them on their journey through life.

Bilingual Immersion

Play-based Instruction

Socialization and interactive lessons that grow their natural abilities and ignite their desire to explore the world. Pre-elementary students learn one-on-one, in small groups, and in large-group activities during which they:

Strengthen language skills and discover the writing process
Exercise self-expression through movement
Learn math basics (counting and problem-solving)
Learn the relationship between sounds and letters
Explore their curiosity about the world around them
Develop an understanding of feelings, imagination, and creativity
Explore the arts through music classes and visual arts projects
Receive a basic technology introduction through literacy and other classroom activities

PK half: 8:25 am–12:00 pm
PK full: 8:25 am–3:00 pm
JK/K: 8:25 am–3:00 pm
