Welcome to Lycee Francais Centre d’études et de Loisirs. Our mission is to give our students a large choice of quality programming while supporting Lycee families by offering safe, fun, affordable and flexible childcare solutions before and after the school day for students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

Our regular extended day options provide a balance of the organized activities and free time that children need during their busy days. Our pre-k to K students participate in a host of fun activities including crafts, games, and outdoor play. Students in Grades 1-5 participate in a personalized homework help program supervised by Lycee teachers and assistant teachers (ratio of one adult for five students guaranteed). The Lycee offers a series of popular workshops called Les Ateliers that include Visual and Performing Arts, Crafts, Robotics & Technology, and many other popular activities such as Fencing, Icecreamology, Dance, Theater and more through partnerships with many local organizations such as Md Science, Chess Wizards, Emerald City Theater, and many more.
Students in grades 3-5 get to join the mini-flames and participate in sports teams such as Basketball (play in school leagues), soccer, or volleyball, as well as in a wide variety of individual sports such as gymnastics, swimming, fencing, golf, tennis, climbing, etc. For more information,

Our music program includes private piano, guitar, cello, flute, violin, drum and singing lessons given after-school by a team of professional music teachers. Music ensembles such as a cello ensemble and a choice of Chamber Music Ensembles are also available. In September, students have the opportunity to audition for the newly formed LFC Orchestra. Students in grades 2-8 can join LFC’s choir program. All our music students get to participate in our year-end Grand Music Finale, a special event held in a concert hall at the Merit School of Music. Language programs
These after-school classes are a great opportunity to expand your child’s world and to allow them to start learning another language. Languages offered through partnerships with ChinaKids, The Turath Institute, or Instituto Cervantes include Arabic, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.
The Centre d’Études et de Loisirs is also supporting Lycee families by offering fun and active camps during the Fall, Winter and Spring breaks. Theater camps, Sports Camps, Robotics Camps, Animated Movies Camps are organized, as well as Field trips to water parks, museums, skating rinks, bowling alleys and other fun places. These camps run from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, with extended options available starting at 8:00 am, and ending at 5:30pm.
Middle-School & High-School clubs
These clubs have for mission to complement the curriculum by giving our students opportunities to discover new forms of expression. Clubs offered this year will include Improv’ club, Cine-club, History Club, Animated Movies, etc. These clubs will start in October.
