The Annual Campaign
Every Lycée family is expected to make a gift according to their means, and 100% participation is as important as the campaign goal.
The Annual Campaign is a volunteer-driven effort designed to reach out to all Lycée families. Parent volunteers call on each family to discuss the campaign goals and objectives, and ask each family to participate. It builds on the personal relationships developed among parents through a structure led by class leaders and division leaders.
Families may make a pledge to be paid over several months or to make a single cash gift.
In addition, other members of the Lycée community, including alumni, administration, teachers and friends, are asked to support the campaign. And they do!
The campaign structure has two divisions:
1. Major Gifts
2. Family Gifts
Every dollar benefits the school directly, is tax-deductible, and is eligible for matching gifts from companies that participate in such programs. It is launched in Fall of each year and runs through February, with payments accepted through fiscal year-end on June 30.
During the 2011-2012 school year, over 94% of families made a gift to the campaign. Because of the annual campaign, the Lycée has been able to provide nearly $600,000 in financial aid scholarships, enhance its arts and science programs, move the high school to the Bittersweet campus, and provide funds for faculty development.
