Admissions

Thank you for considering the Lycée Français de Chicago for your child’s education.

Admission to the Lycée is strongly guided by our commitment to a student body that matches our mission and philosophy. We maintain a policy of non-discrimination, admitting students of all races, religions, national and ethnic origins, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a result, our students come from diverse backgrounds, which enriches the entire school community.

We welcome applications from families who understand and are committed to the philosophy of the Lycée. To initiate the admission process and schedule a visit, please contact the admissions office by email at info@Lycéechicago.org or by phone at (773) 665-0066 ext 22.

The Director of Admission will go over the application requirements and arrange a school tour. The purpose of this visit is to discuss our program, answer your questions, and help us recruit families who demonstrate a strong commitment to a dual-language, multicultural learning environment.

We admit many new students every year, both French speaking and non-French speaking children, according to space available in specific classes. When reviewing applications, we consider:

  • Long-term commitment to a French immersion program.
  • Languages spoken in the home.
  • The cultural diversity and gender balance of the class.
  • Applicant's academic and developmental readiness for a specific class.
  • Applicant's education history and previous school evaluations.

Thank you for your interest in the Lycée Français de Chicago. We look forward to meeting your family soon.
